I'm beyond frustrated.
At this point I'm pretty sure my aggrivation has caused my normally level headed husband to share in the feelings of anger, frustration and dissmay.
Everyone has heard the awful rumors about how neglectful military treatment facilities can be. Honestly, I have not had that experience, Langley was the best hospital ever. They never questioned anything I wanted done and made all appointments at a reasonable time for my needs. Our health coverage has changed from Tricare Prime to Tricare Prime Remote. The difference? We do not have a military facility within 35 miles that can support dependents health care needs. We now get to use civilian physicians...
Here's what has us all so upset. We need a 1 year well baby appointment for Matty as soon as we return from our vacation. The PCM-pediatrician will not schedule an appointment for him until Langley faxes his medical records to their office. Langley wants the physician to request the records, not the patient.... This is a big mess... Lets top that off with my PCM-family health will not request an OB refferal from Tricare until they see me as a patient, which will not happen until Jan. 5th. By the time I finally have that appointment we will be 1/4 of the way through this pregnancy, I'll be around 11weeks. They will not accept my medical records from langley, which contain a urinalysis, blood tests and ultrasound all from 6 weeks. Instead they want to run all of those tests again... This is just wasting my time and trying my patience.
By the time this system catches up to our needs we will be severly behind schedule. At least we were on the ball and took care of our family's needs when we had the say at Langley!
Thank you Langley AFB for taking care of your patients needs!
