each day is taking longer!

We are home from our vacation!

I think calling it a vacation may be the worst choice of words. It took forever  to get to Virginia then the time flew by on a Blue Angels jet. On Friday we spent the day being lazy. After 12 hours in the car we needed the chance to recoup. I don't know why but I spent my "resting" time helping to clean my moms house and wash baby Jam Jam's clothes. (I think I'm turning into Yaya. I'm OK knowing that my house is dirty but I don't want to see the dirt!) Saturday was spent celebrating the graduation of my youngest sister, Damara, from Jamestown High School. Commencement was beautiful! Their normally strict principal broke down and played Time of your Life by Green Day on his guitar. Who know that Dr. Wagner could play and sing like that. It was so impressive he received a standing ovation from the entire graduating class! Afterwards we packed the entire family up for a nice lunch out at Five Guys (don't try to debate it with me, they have the best burgers-way better than Juicy Burger!) Of course I had to get a "family picture" of the entire crew... To do so I embarrassed half of the family by hopping my 37 week pregnant self onto a chair just to get everyone in frame. That evening we all tried a round of Put Put golf. Lets just leave it at, we all suck! Sunday was spent at Busch Gardens. Oh, how I miss that place! Amie finally got to ride the roller coaster in Sesame Place. It's hard to tell if she really enjoyed it. She screamed about getting off the entire ride but begged to go again once the ride had ended. I think there's so much more to enjoy at that park than just the rides. On monday we were packed back into our Jeep. 12 hours later we walked through our front door grateful that we had mad every effort to leave our home clean prior to locking up!

I'm glad our trip wasn't any longer. The mailbox was jam packed when I checked it on Monday evening. Then by Wednesday it was stuffed full along with 2 keys for the overflow boxes. We all knew the days were numbered until the party this July but it didn't really hit home until I opened the overflow mailbox to find our cord blood collection kit. It came with a note letting us know that the donation would be sent to the Kasey Rose Foundation upon collection. I'm so happy we are able to do something good for someone out there! I hope more parents attempt to do the same with their child's cord blood. Whether it be to bank for their own use or donate for research/donor use it's worth spending the 10 minutes filling out the form then making the 2 simple phone calls on the big day!

We have about 1 1/2 weeks till Josh arrives for his visit, 1 week after that for Ba and Chantell to road trip their bus load to our home and hopefully soon after they get here we will welcome our little Temperance home! If the schedule gets a little mixed up, oh well! July will be a fun month for all of us even if it seems  a tad busy!

XOXO, A. Scott
