We just got back from the OB
Let's just leave it at I'm less than pleased with Myrtle Street OB/GYN (for those of you in upstate NY, find a different practice!) It took over 1 hour to get into the exam room. Amie and Matty terrorized the entire waiting room. I've always assumed that waiting past your appointment time meant that the physician was busy answering a VERY concerned patients stupid questions or that there was an emergency. I now know otherwise, more on that in a minute... The actual exam took no more than 5 minutes. Just long enough for them to say that I weigh 118lbs, BP is 102/60, Temperance is measuring and acting normal for this stage of development and I am 1cm dilated. That took one breath to say, so why the hour wait? After redressing we went to make our next appointment which should be on or after July 8th. This part took another 25 minutes of wait time. Apparently they are so super booked and they had to make room for my next check up. I've been double booked on top of another patient on July 6th because the next available time for me was over 2 weeks away... I personally feel that was the most irresponsible thing to do to a patient and it is what leads to the outrageous time spent in the waiting room.
I've had only a few braxton hicks contractions, nothing that would cause me to believe we are bringing home another sweet adorable baby anytime soon. Jeremiah is being worked like crazy. He's on mids, the night shift and it's hard for me to let him sleep during the day. This shift takes it out of all of us. We were able to go berry picking yesterday. I now have two bags of smoothie ready strawberries in my freezer and one bag full of snack sized berries in the fridge. I hope we are able to take our visiting family back to the farm when blueberry picking opens up! It was so much fun and although I didn't bring home nearly as many as I wanted, it was well worth our time!
If anything changes, expect an update!
XOXO, A. Scott
