I meant to post these after the last doctors appointment... Oops, I forgot. At least this time I got a little help manning the camera. Hopefully that made the pictures just slightly more in focus and centered.

Miah just left for work. I can't wait for this shift cycle to be over. It's not that any one shift is bad or worse than the others. I get tired of the limitations each shift puts on the things we want to do. (It worked out very well for me this morning. I really wanted doughnuts for breakfast and since Miah was on his way home he didn't mind making a pit stop to get them.)

I've been surfing the web for the last month looking for a cute "take home" outfit for Temperance. I know, we've got a while before we need to buy it. I just want to find something I like but so far the styles I'm finding are way above what Jeremiah wants to spend or don't suit my taste. For the first tim in history, Miah is encouraging me to craft! He has insisted I make the little outfit for Temperance. I'm genuinely shocked that he wants me to make it. I would have assumed he would do the same thing he did as we got close to Matty's due date. The "I don't care, just pick something reasonable (under $30.) I'll be happy when this search is over" attitude. So last night I did a quick search on my favorite crafted for sale site (etsy.com) and found two cute dresses I love. One is a super simple peasant dress with an empire waist sash, the second is a little pinafore style ruffled top with ruffled bloomers. Guess which one I decided to make, it's not the easy one. Amie and I left Matty napping with daddy this afternoon and headed to the nearest fabric store... Walmart... (the closest *real* fabric store is in Clifton Park about 20 minutes away. We have 2 other "quilting" stores but I'm pretty sure their prices will not be reasonable. It would be worth checking into later.) While shopping Amie decided she wanted an outfit too so I'm going to try to make her a similar set with her fabric. Temperance's outfit will be salmon colored paisley with yellow trim and Amie picked a purple butterfly print with pink trim. I hope they turn out well since I've had to draft my own patterns. I think for the most part they should come together fairly easily but this is uncharted territory for me so I want to take it slow and do it right the 1st time! I plan on posting the pattern and a brief tutorial later so anyone that wants to make one can.

Miah has also decided that his favorite recipe is now the Chicken Cordon Bleu. It's so tasty and prep to table takes about 30 minutes. If you haven't tried making it, you should! It's much easier than you would think.

I'm fairly certain I should be going to bed now but I really don't want to just yet!

XOXO, A. Scott
