Once the paper shreds were contained again in the big Fed-Ex box we were able to survey our loot. Horses and mega blocks were everywhere. Luckily I was able to stash my new mondo collection of teas before little fingers were able to scatter it along with the toys. I think I now have a new flavor for every month this year!
Later in the evening, once the crazies had passed out snuggled into bed (they didn't make it through the bed time story before I could hear snoring) I was able to flip through my new book. I have tons of new themes for my scrapbook pages and inspiration to last a lifetime. The pictures are beautiful and all of the tid bits and suggestions will come in handy when making cards and pages this year.
I know the kids are dying to get their "new" toys back but honestly, it won't hurt them to wait... The day that box arrives will be a nightmare. Amie is really not happy with the idea of donating her old toys to make room for the new ones but I can only keep soooooo much stuff in my home before I go nuts. If she can find a drawer, cubby or shelf to stash her toys on, they can stay but some of it will need to find a new home. I hope she can agree with me on some of it!
Thank you everyone in Williamsburg for all of the super sweet and thoughtful "belated" birthday gifts. (I know, bleated only fits because it was mailed in Jan. You guys were packing things up well before the December birthdays hit! Amie loves her 1/2 birthday gifts.)
XOXO, A. Scott
