Yummy in my tummy

We had our version of an outdoor barbecue tonight. With the drizzly weather we made the decision to not move our newly built grill around to the patio but leave it in the garage. It worked out great. Jeremiah pushed it into the driveway just far enough to let the smoke vent but keep him under the garage awning.

Like always, I prepped a whole bunch of food. Jeremiah believes I went overboard. We made prosciutto wrapped coconut shrimp that were delicious, veggie kabobs and classic American cheeseburgers. I also had a large bowl of fruit salad. For the 4 adults and 4 kids that were at the house it was just enough. We had given out an invite to join us to 3 other families and had not heard back, I'm glad they didn't come over or I wouldn't have made nearly enough for everyone to fill their starving bellies!

Guess what, I'm soooo super duper excited. My new friend Channa is a crafty lady just like me! Over this next year, while they're still stationed here I can see a ton of crafts and outing occurring. Michaels, here we come! (Sorry Miah, I'll try not to exceed our budget every time we head out.)

Matty and Vincent ran around together, had squealing matches and in general had fun. Amie and Camron were caught often playing quietly in the top bunk bed. They put on some of the cutest dress up and pranced around like pretty princesses. They all had fun until we started the evening clean up. We made a bunch of kids angry when we initiated the clean up routine.

Regardless, we had a good evening with a great group of new friends!

Xoxox, A. Scott
