Organizing

Some call it nesting.

Others call it spring cleaning.

I'm calling it fixing my home back up so that I can craft in my craft room, store clothes in my closet, have a place for towels not next to the tub where they get soaked by splish-splashy kids.... In general, I'm getting things cleaned back up.

So far we've mastered the toy issue in my living room. In fact, I now have storage for more toys although I'm certainly not asking for more! We spent almost $100 to gain some sanity. I'd say the money was well spent. My biggest concern now is finding a way to make our nightly clean up routine stick with everyone, including daddy.

Now that this big clean up is over it's onto the closet disaster. We want to use the old toy bin for Temperances clothing. You'd think swapping out one "dresser" for another would be a simple task. I guess not. Miah wants me to lable the drawers now that they are slightly different from the system we had with Matty. To do this I need to tackle the black hole in our house.

My craft room. I hate even thinking about going in there right now. I have so many work in progress projects and they take over all of the free space possible. I really need to just go in there and reasess all of the things that currently hang out in the bookshelves. I doubt my bathroom extras need to liven there, a bathroom might be a more appropriate home. Then I have the fabric collection that lives in a spare box. It should probably find a place on a shelf.

Who knows. Since so many of you have never seen our home I'll post pictures as soon as the clutter monster has gone on vacation. I wish it would take hike for good but I'm trying out this new thing called being realistic. I'm pretty sure reality with 3 young kids is that the majority of my time will not be spent keeping this place clean or organized but tolerable.

Xoxo, A. Scott
