Our visitors have left us... Yep, they're gone.
They drove off this afternoon headed on their merry way back to VA. We miss Aunt Larissa, James and John but they had to go home. At least we were able to have a great time with them this past week.

We spent an afternoon tromping through the snow at the Saratoga Spa State Park. I love the beauty of our park, the whole park is picturesque. I think it is even more beautiful this time of the year, blanketed by sparkling white snow. We spent most of our time pulling each other out of knee deep snow in the courtyard between the main buildings. Then watched Jeremiah attempt to make a snow angel, instead I think he just got snow in his pants... By the time we packed back into the cars we were all cold and tired but we had smiled and laughed the entire time we froze our tushies off! As soon as everyone was back inside our home we made hot cocoa and sat down to watch tv while snuggled under blankets. (I never realized how essential throw blankets were until we moved here!) I'd call that a successful outing.

The kids loved seeing their littlest cousin, James. Amie wanted to be next to him all day. She especially enjoyed laying with him on the ground talking to him about the toys or attempting to soothe him when he became a little fussy. She would tell him "It's ok Jamie, you don't need to cry." I think it was to help comfort her when he became grumpy. Matty only wanted to man handle the poor kid. Then as they were saying their good-bye's today, he gave James about 7 kisses. (That's way more than he normally gives me, what a stink butt!)
Now that they have left the clean up has started. No matter how hard you try to stay on top of the regular tasks when you have visitors things go ignored. Luckily they needed clean laundry so I was forced to operate my washer and dryer. With three less people in my house it's now easy to see the crumbs my kids have made on my floor... I should probably vacuum but instead I'm on the computer telling everyone about the great time we had.
At least I have some great pictures of the memories we made over this week! We all miss you and can't wait until the next visit, hopefully in April.
XOXO, A. Scott
