double mint fun

My guest list doubled in size last night.

At 11:15pm my dad, G2, flew into town to spend the rest of his week with us. I'm excited to be able to show him around town.

So far we've driven through downtown Saratoga (it's not hard to miss it since there's only one real way in and out of town.) We visited our favorite fast food for lunch, McDonalds (it's the only one with a play area for kids.) Amie had a major melt down and wouldn't mind so all while Matty single handedly finished off our large fries.

After finishing our meal and play time we went over to Saratoga Spa State Park. It's the same place we went tromping through the snow with Aunt Larissa back in Feb. This time was fairly snow free, there's some still lingering in the shadows.  Amie had a hard time listening and ran off frequently. Matty didn't care as long as he had a sticks to carry. Damara and G2 read all of the little signs that explained the history of the buildings. I think the architecture is beautiful, I'd love to model my home with influence from these buildings! We didn't get to spend long there before Amie needed to go potty.

Now that we are home everyone is taking their mid day nap. Hopefully when Jeremiah gets off from work the kids moods will improve and we will be able to do more tonight with our guests! Supper plans are pulled chicken enchiladas, a meal that everyone here enjoys immensely!

I know Damara is itching to drag G2 down Broadway, downtown Saratoga, so she can show off her favorite stores like Gee Willikers, where she found the cute bunny ears, and Putnam Market, where we blew our diets on delicious pastries and laughed about bacon flavored toothpaste. (I wouldn't put that in my mouth unless paid to do so! They also had pickle flavored and the least offensive, cupcake flavored.

XOXO, A. Scott
