This time, things are going to be different!
I've already looked up a donation center and printed the enrollment forms. I'm pretty sure that Temperance's blood will be accepted since I can answer no to every serious disease, surgery, and body modification question. I fit every criteria listed on their website!
The only hiccup now may be getting our OB on board to do the collection. I wouldn't put it past them to try to charge us big bucks to suck a 1/2 cup of stem cell rich blood from Temperance's umbilical cord. The procedure takes about 5 minutes: squeeze the blood out of the cord into a biohazard collection cup then put the cup on ice. Oh how complex the medical society has made this!
Our next appointment is on tuesday, it's the fun one! Gestational diabetes testing. Can't you just tell how excited I am to get pumped full of sugar then stuck with needles as my body goes through a major sugar crash. After the appointment we still have to run by the hospital to pre-register for our stay in July, which we may literally do since my doctor and hospital are across the street from each other. Once again the kids will be hanging out at the Saltzgaver's house.
Fingers crossed, the bug has passed here. Matty has gone the day without barfing. We did have to change his sheets because he threw up sometime last night. I'm pretty sure now it's just really bad bottom burn from some nasty diapers that we need to worry about now. Everyone else is back to good health status.
This weekend we will start a major house scrub down, I don't want whatever that bug was to have the chance to mutate in my home and make us all sick again. So, yay for tons of laundry, Lysol and open windows!
XOXO, A. Scott
