sprite and saltines

We spent the last day of Damara's spring break vacation here checking out all our little town had to offer. Breakfast at the Country Corner Cafe, running around the Saratoga Spa State Park then it was off to the airport again. Amie went with Jeremiah and G2 to see her aunt Damara off while I remained home with a sleepy monkey.

Around 5 we decided to head out and find some supper. The original plan was to eat at Hattie's. Jeremiah's been holding onto his birthday gift certificate for the perfect opportunity to take us out. The first hiccup was that we went to the wrong Hattie's. There are two in town, a chicken shack and a southern style restaurant. After sorting out where the one we wanted to eat at was we ran into hiccup number 2, they were booked solid for the night. So our plan changed, Sushi Thai Garden was next door and sounded delicious!

After being seated Amie became grumpy and tired. We all assumed it was due to a lack of a nap and a pretty active afternoon of walking Broadway as we searched for a new supper plan. Before ordering supper she started crying that she needed to throw up. We made it half way to the bathroom before the spray started... ICKY!

We changed plans again and went straight home. The adults ate barbecue wings while watching comedy centrals roast of William Shattner. We kept to Matty's normal routine as best we could and allowed Amie to stay up with us. She didn't last long before falling asleep across G2's lap. We made her a bed in our room expecting to be up sometime throughout the night with her. She didn't disappoint. I'm really impressed by her ability to recognize her body signs, wake up quickly to take care of the problem then fall back asleep like nothing had happened!

This morning ended up being more of last nights entertainment. This time it's followed by "Today is horrible!" We've only missed the bathroom once so right now my love seat is missing a cushion. Although I hate cleaning I'm somewhat looking forward to the after-bug sanitizing. It should be easier to do than normal and I know my house has needed a clean up for a while now.

G2 needs a ride to the airpot in about 1 hour so now we are scrambling to get supper before the trek to Albany. I think the plan is for Amie to stay at home with me while the others go on a quick rod a trip. It's sad to have everyone gone again. We are so alone out here.

Here's to hoping the clean up starts tomorrow, fingers crossed for us!

Xoxo, A. Scott
